You can change your cPanel password from within the DomainKing client panel or by logging in to your cPanel. In this tutorial we will show both the methods.

Changing cPanel password from DomainKing.NG's client area:

This method will allow you to change your cPanel password easily from your DomainKing.NG client panel in just 5 simple steps. For this you need to follow the following steps: 1) Login into your DomainKing.NG's client panel. 2) Click "My Services" link in the client area. 3) Scroll down and click on Manage Hosting Icon" of your hosting whose cPanel password you want to change. 4) Scroll down to "Login Details" section. 5) Enter the new password that you want to set for logging into cPanel and click "Update" button. Now your cpanel password has been changed. Please use the new details for logging into your cPanel.

Changing cPanel password from cPanel:

Using this method you can change your cPanel password directly from the cPanel. This method is useful if you are already logged in your cPanel. To do this, you need to follow the below steps: 1) Login in your cpanel account. 2) Under the "Preferences" section click "Change Password" icon. 3) Enter the following details: Old Password: Enter your old password here. New Password: Enter your new password here. New Password (again): Re-Enter your new password here. Note: You can use Password Generator to set a strong password that will be generated by system. 4) Click on "Change Password" button. Your cPanel password has changed sucessfully. Kindly use new login details to login into cPanel.

These are the themes that are automatically installed in your WordPress during the initial WordPress installation. Either you can activate one of the pre-installed theme or you can search and add new theme by clicking on "Add New" button. Click Add New button in WordPress Admin to install a theme 4) Now you will see a lot of options to search for your desired theme from the WordPress themes Library. WordPress theme library shows the list of featured & most popular WordPress themes handpicked by WordPress developers. You can either select a theme from WordPress's "Featured" or "Popular" themes in their library. If you don't like the featured themes then you can search for a theme according to your own requirements using the Search Box on that page. For example: If you want to find a theme for your football website then you need to type "Football" in the search box for searching all WordPress themes related to football. This method is useful when you have a theme that you have downloaded to you PC/Laptop and you want to use that theme on your WordPress website. To upload your theme from your local PC/Laptop in WordPress, you need to do the following: 1) Login to your WordPress admin panel. Go to Appearance > Themes. After that click on "Add New" button. 2) To upload your theme from your local PC/Laptop you need to click "Upload" Upload theme in WordPress 3) Click "Browse" and select the theme that you want to install on your website from your PC and after that click on "Install" button. Browse themes from you PC to upload it in WordPress 4) Now WordPress will automatically install your theme for you. After that WordPress will display the successful installation message. How to Create Custom Nameservers on your Domain

If you are looking to create your own custom nameservers (also known as personal or private nameservers) on your domain then you can do it easily using the "Register Nameservers" option available in your DomainKing.NG client area. You can create your private nameservers and link it to the IP address associated with your nameservers in less than 2 minutes. Note: To create private or custom nameservers you must have your own VPS (Virtual Private Server) or Dedicated Server. You cannot setup or use private nameservers on Shared Web Hosting. These steps that are given below should be helpful to you in creating your custom nameservers on your domain: 1) Login to DomainKing.NG's client panel. Click Here to login. 2) Once you are inside your Client panel, click on "My Domains" in the navigation bar. Click on My Domains 3) Scroll down and click on "Manage this domain" icon next to the domain name for which you want to create custom nameservers. Click on Manage Domain icon for managing your domain name 4) Scroll down to the bottom of the page and go to the "Management Tools" section & click on "Register Nameservers" button. 5) Once there, you need to enter the following details under "Register a NameServer Name" section: Nameserver: In this you need to enter the name of nameserver that you want to create. For example: If you want to create "ns1.yourdomain.com; then in the text box you only need to enter "ns1". IP Address: Enter the IP address to which you want to point your nameservers. That is the IP address associated with your nameserver. You can ask you hosting provider for this information. 6) Click on "Save Changes" button. Now your custom nameserver has been setup. Similarly if you want, you can create more custom nameservers by following the same steps as given above. Note: After creating your own custom nameservers you need to wait for 24-72 hours for the DNS settings to work properly & propagate over the internet. Creating a MySQL database in cPanel can be easily done from the cPanel in simple steps. In this tutorial we will cover 2 ways using which you can create your MySQL database from your cPanel. One is via MySQL database Section & the other is using MySQL Database Wizard. But first we will show you what are the basic things required for creating your MySQL database. Creating a database from cPanel involves doing 3 steps: 1) Create a new MySQL database in cPanel. 2) Create a new database MySQL user that will be accessing the MySQL database. 3) Add MySQL user to your MySQL database and set the privileges for that user. But all these steps for creating your MySQL database can be done easily and automatically using the cPanel MySQL Database section or MySQL Database Wizard. There are 2 ways for creating the MySQL database from the cPanel: 1) Create database using MySQL Databases option in cPanel. (Recommended) 2) Create database using MySQL Database Wizard in cPanel. (Easy)

Create database using MySQL Databases option in cpanel

To create a MySQL database using the database create option in your cPanel, you need to follow the below instructions step by step: 1) Login to your cPanel. 2) Scroll down to the "Databases" section and click on "MySQL Databases" icon. MySQL Databases in cPanel 3) Locate the "Create a New Database" section and enter the database name that you want to create and press "Create Database" button. Create MySQL Databases in cPanel Now the database has been successfully created. 4) Now in this step you need to create a new database user that will have access that newly created database. To create a MySQL user, go to the MySQL Users section > Add a New User. This is just below the database section from where you had created the MySQL database. Enter the following details: Username: Enter the name of MySQL database user that you want to create & assign to your earlier created database. Password: Enter the password that you want to set for your MySQL User. You can also use the password generator to generate a strong password for you. After entering all the details click on "Create a User" button. Create MySQL User in cPanel 5) Now the Next step is to add the newly created MySQL user to the MySQL database. To do this scroll down to the "Add a User to a Database" section. Select the "User" that you want to assign and also select the "Database" to which you want to assign the user. Click on the "Add" button. Add MySQL user to MySQL database 6) Now you need to set the privileges that you want to assign to the MySQL user to access the database. Generally you can grant all the privileges to the MySQL user. For that you need to check "ALL PRIVILEGES" and click on "Make Changes" button. Assign privileges to MySQL Database user 7) Now your MySQL user has been successfully assigned to your MySQL database and you will see a success message as shown below. MySQL database has been successfully created You can also verify if the user has been assigned properly by going to the "Current Databases" section in "MySQL Databases" area.

Create database using MySQL Database Wizard:

This method is much easier than the above described method for creating your MySQL database. In this method cPanel will automatically do the steps required for creating the database. For creating MySQL database using MySQL Database Wizard you just need to follow the following steps: 1) Login to your cPanel. Scroll down to "Databases" section and click on "MySQL Database Wizard" icon. MySQL Database Wizard in cpanel 2) Once there, under "Step 1: Create A Database", enter the MySQL database name that you want to create in the text box next to "New Database" field. After that click on the "Next Step" button. Create database in MySQL Database Wizard 3) Now, in this next step you are going to create a "MySQL Database User" for the managing the created database in earlier step. Enter the "Username" & set the password for the user. You can also use to password generator to set a strong password for you. Once done, click on "Next Step" button. Create MySQL user in MySQL Database Wizard 4) Now you need to set privileges to the MySQL User that you have just created. You can simply check "ALL PRIVILEGES" option and click on the "Next Step" button. Set MySQL user privileges Now its all done. Your MySQL database has been successfully created. You will now see the following success message. MySQL database has been successfully created using MySQL database Wizard You can now use this database for your purposes.

To install plugin using this method you need to follow the following steps: 1) Login to your WordPress Admin Panel. 2) In your WordPress Admin Panel, On the left side in your navigation bar locate & click on Plugins > Add New Add New Plugin in WordPress 3) You will now be redirected to a page like shown in the screenshot below. In the "Search Box" search for your desired plugin that you want to install by typing its name. For example: If you want to install a plugin related to SEO, then you just need to enter "SEO" in the plugin search box. Note: In the WordPress plugin section you will also see a selection of "Featured", "Popular" and "Recommended" plugins handpicked by WordPress developers & its users. You can also find a plugin from these sections as these are normally the most used & trusted WordPress plugins. Search WordPress Plugin from Directory 4) After searching for your desired plugin as shown in the previous step, you will now see a list of all the plugins related to your search available in the WordPress plugin library. In this tutorial we will show you how you can import your MySQL database from your localhost to the server using phpmyAdmin in few simple steps. But before importing your database, you need to to take note of the following: 1) You must already have existing database for importing SQL file to it. If you have not already created a database then you need create a MySQL database first. 2) You also must have the .sql, .zip, .gzip file of your database offline in your PC/Laptop that you want to import on server.

Steps to Import your MySQL database using phpMyAdmin:

To import your database in your cPanel using phpmyadmin, you need to follow the following steps: Step 1) Login to your cPanel. Step 2) Scroll down to "Databases" section in your cPanel and click on "phpMyAdmin" icon. phpmyadmin in cPanel Step 3) Now you will be redirected to the phpMyAdmin interface. In here you will see the list all your databases on the left hand side of the phpmyadmin panel. Step 4) Now from the list of databases on the left side menu in the phpmyadmin panel, you first need to select the database in which you want to import your data as shown in the screenshot. List of your Databases in phpmyadmin Note: To import your data or tables in your database you must have an existing database already created in your cPanel. Step 5) After selecting database, click on the "Import" button available at the top menu of the navigation bar. Import database in phpmyadmin Step 6) Now click on "Browse" button to upload your database file from your PC/Laptop. Upload your SQL database in phpmyadmin Note: Database upload file must be in compressed format like ".zip, bzip2, zip" or in .sql format. Step 7) Browse to database file in your PC/Laptop in the pop-up window. After navigate to your database file click on "Open" to upload it to the server. Step 8) Once your database file is uploaded, scroll down click on the "Go" button at the bottom of the page. Click Go button to Import your SQL database in phpmyadmin Congratulations! How to Backup your Website in cPanel

The Full Website backup is a feature in cPanel using which you can Create Backups of your full website, your emails & also your MySQL databases in a single zip file. This feature allows you to generate a full/ partial backup of your website and store it on server which you can then download later to your PC/Computer or your local hard drive. The main advantage of creating a backup is that in case your website is having any problem at any time in future, then you can easily restore your website to a past date by simply restoring the backup files in your cPanel. It is recommended to always take backup of your website before making any important changes in your website or database or cpanel. This way if anything wrong happens then you can easily restore your old website backup. But please note that restored website will be same as it was on the date when you took backup. So for example if you have a website backup of your website that you took 3 days ago, and if you restore that backup then your website will be the same as it was 3 days ago after website restore. Below are the steps that you need to follow to take full back of a website using cPanel: Step 1: Login into your cPanel hosting account. Step 2: In your cPanel, scroll to the Files section & click on the "Backups" icon. Backups icon in cPanel Step 3: Now under the "Full Backup" section, click on "Download a Full Website backup" button. Download Full Website backup in cPanel Step 4: You will now see the "Full Backup" page. Under the "Generate a Full Backup" field, you need to enter the following: Backup Destination: In this field, you need to select the folder in your cPanel where the backup will be saved once its generated by the cPanel. By default cPanel will save the backup in "Home Directory" in the cPanel. You don't need to change this. But if you want to change it then you can change it from the drop-down. Email Address: In this field you need to enter your email address to which you want to receive the notification once the cPanel has generated your backup. Or you can select "Do not send the Email notification of backup completion", if you don't want to receive any notification once the backup is complete by cPanel. Now click on "Generate Backup" button and wait for the backup progress to get complete. Generate website backup in cPanel Step 5: Once the backup is complete you will receive a notification on your email which you have given in previous step. Full cPanel backup in progress Step 6:To download the backup from your cPanel go to Backups > Download a Full Website Backup. You will see you generated backups under "Available Backups To Download:". You will see files with name such as: "backup-2.15.2016_07-53-16_abdcom.tar.gz Click on the backup file name to download it to your PC or your Computer. Download complete cPanel backup Congratulations! Now you have the complete backup of you website.

How to transfer a domain name from Whogohost to DomainKing.NG

In this tutorial we will show you the steps on how you can transfer your domain away from Whogohost to DomainKing.NG. Domain transfer to us is simple and hassle free. Note: Domain Transfer involves zero downtime if you don't change the nameservers of your domain during the domain transfer. But if you are using the nameservers of your old registrar & you don't have any active hosting with them after the domain transfer then your domain will not work with their nameservers. And this will cause downtime. There are some prerequisites involved before you can transfer your domain from Whogohost to us. You need to Unlock your domain name & get your EPP code from Whogohost before you can transfer your domain to us. To transfer your domain from Whogohost you need to do the following: a) Unlock your domain name: If your registrar has enabled registrar lock on your domain then you cannot transfer your domain away from Whogohost. It is a type of lock on your domain set by your domain provider to prevent any unauthorized domain transfer without your permission. So you need to disable the registrar lock when you want to transfer your domain. b) Get your EPP code: Auth Code or EPP code is a unique code for your domain that you need to use to transfer your domain to another provider. It is a form of unique security code for your domain that only you would know so nobody can transfer your domain without your permission.

1) How to Unlock your Domain Name with Whogohost:

1) Login to your Whogohost client panel. 2) In navigation bar at the top in your client panel at Whogohost, click on the "Domains" link as shown in the screenshot below: Manage Domains at Whogohost 3) Now you will see a list of all your domain with Whogohost. Under the "Manage Domain" section, click on the "Manage domain" link next to the domain that you want to transfer. Click on Manage Domains 4) Now click "Registrar Lock" button on the left hand side in your client panel. Click on Registrar lock 5) If the registrar lock is enabled, then click on the "Disable Registrar Lock" button to disable the registrar lock. Disable Registrar Lock at Whogohost Now your domain name has been unlocked and is ready for transfer. Now you need to get you EPP code to transfer your domain name.

2) How to get your EPP Code or Auth Code from Whogohost:

1) Login to your Whogohost client panel. 2) Click on "Domains" link in the menu bar. Manage Domains at Whogohost 3) In the "Manage Domain" section click on domain name that you want to transfer. Click on Manage Domains 4) Now click on the "Get EPP Code" button on the left side of your panel. Get EPP code at Whogohost 5) You will now see your EPP code as shown in the screenshot below. EPP code of your domain at Whogohost Copy and save your EPP code as it will be used during the domain tranfer when you place the domain transfer order with us. Step 3) Place the domain transfer order: After unlocking your domain name & getting your EPP code, you need to place the domain transfer order at DomainKing.NG. You can place the domain transfer order from our domain transfer page. On the domain transfer page, you just need to enter your EPP code the you got from Whogohost in the previous step. After that just follow the steps and place the order for domain transfer. Step 4) Initiate the domain transfer to DomainKing.NG: After you have placed the domain transfer order with us you will receive an email from us confirming the domain transfer to us. You need to initiate the domain transfer by clicking the link in the email. Step 5) Approve the Domain transfer Request: This is the final step. After the domain transfer to us has been initiated by you, you will receive an email from Whogohost's domain Registrar regarding the domain transfer request away from Whogohost. You need to approve the domain transfer by clicking the link in the email that you will receive. Thats all!. After you have approved the domain tranfer, your domain transfer will be initiated. To setup Cloudflare on your domain name you need to follow the following steps: 1. Create your free Cloudflare account. If you already have a Cloudflare account then you should do the following. Login into your Cloudflare account & click on “Add Site” link available on the top navigation bar. 2. You will now see “Set up Websites" page as shown in the screenshot below: In the search box enter your domain name on which you want to integrate cloudflare. Fr example if you want to enable Cloudflare on "yourdoman.com" then the the search box simply enter "yourdomain.com". After entering your domain name click “Scan DNS Records”. Add website in Cloudflare 3. After that cloudflare will scan your website for all your DNS records. So you do not need to do anything. You just need to wait for the scan to complete. Once the Cloudflare scan is complete a setup button will appear, then click on the “Continue” button as shown below to continue with the Cloudflare setup on your domain. Continue Cloudflare setup 4. Now in this step you need to check & verify your DNS records to complete your clouflare setup. Cloudflare will show you the list of all your website DNS records & their types including all the subdomains. You will see Orange or grey cloud infront of your each DNS record. If you are looking to upload your website or files i.e. images, html etc. on your hosting account then there are 2 ways by which you can do it: 1). Uploading via cPanel File Manager. 2). Uploading by FTP using FileZilla FTP client.

Method 1) Upload using cPanel File Manager:

cPanel is the most popular panel for managing your hosting account. And you can easily download, manage and upload your website's files on server via cPanel File Manager. Using this option you can upload your website's files on your hosting account using cPanel's inbuilt File Manager. You need to follow the below mentioned steps to upload the content using the cPanel: 1) Login to your cPanel. 2) In your cPanel, scroll down to the Files section and click on the File Manager icon. File Manager in cpanel 3) Now you need to select your directory as Web Root (public_html/www) & choose your domain name from drop down arrow in case you have multiple domains under a hosting plan. And then check on Show Hidden Files (dotfiles). Now click on Go button as shown in the below screenshot. File Manager directory in cpanel 4) Now you are inside your File Manager in your cpanel. Click on Public_html folder shown at the left side on your screen under the folder directory. This will show all the list of files in your public_html folder. Note: All files must be upload in public_html folder for you to see when you type the URL of your website i.e. www.yourdomain.com. 5) Click on Upload in your navigation bar on the top of the page. Upload website in cpanel using File Manager 5) Click on Browse button and select the website's files from your PC/mobile which you want to upload. Browse to your files in your PC 6) After selecting your files that you want to upload, click on Open button and wait for the uploading process to get completed. Uploading process in cpanel 7) Once the uploading process is complete you need to click Go Back button. It will take you back to public_html folder in your cPanel. Back to public html folder Congratulations! Now your website has been uploaded. You can check your website by opening it in your browser.

Method 2) Uploading via FTP using Filezilla:

FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a method by which you can remotely upload your website's files to server using FTP's clients like Filezilla software. You can easily upload you files from your PC/Mobile using FTP software like Filezilla. This is the second and alternate way by which you can easily upload content on your hosting account. For uploading your website's files using Filezilla you need to follow the below steps: Step 1: First of all open the FTP software like Filezilla that you have installed on your PC/mobile. Note: If you don't already have FTP software like Filezilla then you can download Filezilla from here. Step 2: Now you need to login to Filezilla. In the top of the navigation bar there are 3 fields. You need to enter the following: Host Name: Enter the host as your domain name or the IP address of your hosting account that was sent to you in the email with subject "New Hosting Account Information". You can check your email for these details. User Name: Enter the User name of your hosting account. Password: Enter the password of your hosting account. Note: Please note that if you have changed the password of your cPanel then the password for your FTP account will also change and it will be the same.
