If you are looking to create your own custom nameservers (also known as personal or private nameservers) on your domain then you can do it easily using the "Register Nameservers" option available in your DomainKing.NG client area. You can create your private nameservers and link it to the IP address associated with your nameservers in less than 2 minutes.
Note: To create private or custom nameservers you must have your own VPS (Virtual Private Server) or Dedicated Server. You cannot setup or use private nameservers on Shared Web Hosting.
These steps that are given below should be helpful to you in creating your custom nameservers on your domain:
1) Login to DomainKing.NG's client panel. Click Here to login.
2) Once you are inside your Client panel, click on "My Domains" in the navigation bar.
3) Scroll down and click on "Manage this domain" icon next to the domain name for which you want to create custom nameservers.
4) Scroll down to the bottom of the page and go to the "Management Tools" section & click on "Register Nameservers" button.
5) Once there, you need to enter the following details under "Register a NameServer Name" section:
Nameserver: In this you need to enter the name of nameserver that you want to create. For example: If you want to create "ns1.yourdomain.com; then in the text box you only need to enter "ns1".
IP Address: Enter the IP address to which you want to point your nameservers. That is the IP address associated with your nameserver. You can ask you hosting provider for this information.
6) Click on "Save Changes" button.
Now your custom nameserver has been setup. Similarly if you want, you can create more custom nameservers by following the same steps as given above.
Note: After creating your own custom nameservers you need to wait for 24-72 hours for the DNS settings to work properly & propagate over the internet.
After creating your private nameservers, you can go ahead and start using these nameservers anywhere you want now. You can also use these nameservers to point your domain with us to your hosting. For pointing your domain registered with DomainKing.NG to your nameservers, read this guide for help.
